Prevention Education Facilitator
The Central Alberta FASD Network is hiring a full time Prevention Education Facilitator. The Prevention Education Facilitator will provide FASD awareness, education, and prevention programming at all levels through training, networking, and public awareness events to build community capacity.
FASD Community Outreach and Support
The Central Alberta FASD Network is hiring a full time Community Outreach and Support Worker. The Community Outreach and Support Worker will develop strong collaborative relationships with youth and adult clients, potentially impacted or diagnosed with FASD, and their families and caregivers. The successful candidate will encourage the client’s active participation in developing goals that address their unique concerns and are sensitive to their cultural values and socioeconomic circumstances. In addition, the candidate will provide FASD awareness, education, and advocacy within the community to provide support, guidance, and advocacy for individuals, with a possible diagnosis, or diagnosed with, FASD.
FASD Restorative Justice Worker
The Central Alberta FASD Network is hiring a full time FASD Restorative Justice Outreach Worker. The Restorative Justice Outreach Worker assists in supporting and diverting youth and adult offenders suspected or diagnosed with FASD, from involvement in the criminal justice system. Support may occur at any stage including pre-involvement with, and within, the judicial system and include both provincial and federal. The incumbent will forge relationships with RCMP, AB Crown, Defense Council, Provincial Court, Provincial and Federal Institutions, community service providers, and government agencies. The successful candidate will encourage the client’s active participation in developing goals that address their unique concerns and are sensitive to their unique circumstances. The incumbent will work closely with key community services and assist external service providers in developing a greater understanding of how best to support individuals impacted by FASD.
FASD In Reach Transition Mentor
The Central Alberta FASD Network is hiring a fulltime FASD In Reach Transition Mentor. The FASD Transition Mentors will provide education, information, and one-to-one support to clients impacted, or potentially impacted, by FASD, and residing at Red Deer Remand, Bowden, and Drumheller Institutions. Additionally, the roles will offer clients/offenders transitional support to community or other applicable addictions and mental health resources and facilitate the FASD assessment and diagnosis process for eligible clients/offenders within the institutions.
