SUPPORTS & SERVICES FOR INDIVIDUALS, FAMILIES, AND CAREGIVERS

If you are an individual or a caregiver of an individual who has been diagnosed or is suspected to have FASD, call the RESOURCE COORDINATOR at (403)-342-7499 Extension #1

 

The Resource Coordinator can assist with :

  • Centralized intake - information and referrals to community resources in the Central Alberta area for individuals with FASD
  • General information about FASD
  • FASD Education & Links to up and coming training opportunities
  • Referrals for outreach services

 

Outreach Services can provide assistance with:

  • Advocacy
  • Family and Individual support for children and adults impacted by FASD
  • Basic life and community living skills
  • Services for adults denied PDD services due to I.Q
  • Assistance in developing strategies that will be successful in the home and other environments such as school or the workplace
  • Strategies to reduce secondary disabilities such as trouble with the law, alcohol and drug problems, mental health problems, inappropriate sexual behavior, etc...
  • Disruptive school experiences
